How we keep people safe,
and how we are held to account.

Hundreds of children and adults use Castlefield Community Centre every week: Over our supplementary schools, youth clubs and scouts, a public library service, prayer and events. This page sets out how we place safeguards in place.

Safeguarding comes first.

Every child and every vulnerable adult who comes to Karima has the right to be safe and have access to someone if they don't . Our commitment is simple to state: safeguarding is not a policy on a shelf, it is the first consideration in how every programme is planned, staffed and run.

In practice, that means: activity leaders working with children are DBS-checked; and every programme follows our safeguarding policy.

If something worries you, tell us.

If you are worried about the safety or wellbeing of any child or adult at Karima, however small the concern seems, we want to hear it.
