In recent times, orientalists and modernists have tried to disprove various aspects of the Sunnah of the Chosen One ﷺ so as to be able to create doubt in Muslims and to also distort aspects of Islam that the Sunnah protects. Out of the all the works on the Sunnah, the most famous is without doubt the Sahih of Imam Bukhari, a uniquely magnificent work, and the magnum opus of one of most remarkable geniuses in Islamic history. This has meant that his Sahih has had to face multiple attacks on aspects as varied as its textual veracity, the contents of the narrations like the age of Hz Aisha, and the life and approach the Imam took in compiling this text. A response is long overdue.

This one-day course will attempt to substantiate the authenticity of the extraordinary book of Imam Bukhari, introduce students to his life and methodology and also clarify the moral discomfort of some of its content. The presenters are all expert scholars on the science of Hadith, both secularly and traditionally trained.
The course will be online and a bursary is available for select students.
