Islamic History of Palestine

Islamic History of Palestine

At a time when genocide is being carried out and the physical history of Palestine, and its Islamic memory, are being erased, it is imperative upon Muslims to recognise, and revive among ourselves and our children, the belief in the sanctity of that land and the blessed souls that resided therein. As many try to frame the Palestine issue as beyond the scope of religion, we must remember the fact that the honour of that land lies in its Islamic reality, and whether people like it or not, for Muslims at the very least, Palestine is an Islamic issue.

Join us as we host celebrated Muslim historian, Dr Yakoob Ahmed, on a session on the Islamic history of Palestine, looking at Palestine through the lens of the Prophet (s) and his Companions, the liberation of Salahuddin Ayyubi, and its fall into the hands of the occupiers. This is massively important to any Muslim with concern about the Palestinian cause. The session is completely free and is recommended for all ages alike.
