This course will go through our whole farm rearing and dispatch process to show and explain how and why Willowbrook Farm are different to commercial farms.
Starting with day-old chicks we will walk and talk through how we rear our animals, then move on to the dispatch (dhabiha) learning the cleaning of the birds and the butchery session.
We will show you how to truss a whole chicken, along with all the standard cutting styles, including portions (breast, drumstick, thigh, wings), curry peices and boneless.
Targetted at Alimiyyah students ( boys & girls) age 14+
Leave High Wycombe from Castlefield Community centre at 8am
9:00 - 9:30 Arrive and organise group (change shoes etc)
9:30 - 10:15 Demonstrate the dispatch (dhabiha) and the whole cleaning process
10:15 - 11:15 See the rearing from chick to chicken
11:30 - 12:00 Tour of Willowbrook Farm and talk about environmentalism, Islam, sustainability, responsibility and the organic farming life, by Dr. Lutfi Radwan
12:00 - 2:00 Lunch & Free time.
