Beginner's Arabic Plus
This is the signup page for students who have completed the Beginner's Arabic course and are now ready to embark on the one year course. Students who meet the prerequisites and didn't attend our beginners course are welcome to sign up. Any questions email

Enrolment is open to students who successfully pass the Beginner Arabic exam. Students who did not attend our Beginner course but meet the prerequisites are also welcome to join.
To benefit from this programme, students should already be comfortable with:
1. Nominal sentences (mubtada’khabar)
2. Basic verbal sentences (verb subject object)
3. Using prepositions within both nominal and verbal structures
4. Possessive constructions (iḍāfah: muḍāf muḍāf ilayh)
5. Noun–adjective phrases (mawṣūf–ṣifah)
Course Content:
Over the year, students will gently progress into intermediate Arabic grammar, supported with:
- Guided reading and comprehension
- Sentence analysis (tarkīb / i‘rāb)
- Continuous practice and application
- A full reading of Muqaddimah al-Ajurrūmiyyah with ijāzah
Students will also become confident in:
- Understanding how nouns work in different sentence roles
(marfū‘āt • manṣūbāt • majrūrāt — explained clearly and gradually) - Recognising subjects, objects, and descriptive structures
- Building stronger sentences with confidence
- Conjugating verbs in past, present and command forms
Students will receive two live weekly Arabic lessons, each 90 minutes.

Ustaadh Asim Ayub

Ustadh Asim is a traditionally trained scholar who brings a rare blend of academic and Islamic education. He completed the ʿĀlimiyya program at Darul Uloom Bury and holds degrees in Economics and Economic History from Brunel and LSE, along with a PGCE in education. A resident teacher at the Karima Foundation, he’s known for his clarity, depth, and commitment to making Islamic learning accessible.
