Health and Well-being Month
Asalaam alaikum wa’rahmatullah Dear Parents/Guardians,
As you may remember last year we ran a series of activities in February centred on Respect. This year, insha’Allah, our theme for January is ‘Health and Wellbeing’, much like last year, insha’Allah we will be holding a number of events and activities to encourage a healthier, balanced lifestyle.
Our main event will be held on Saturday 19th January from 10am-1pm at Castlefield Community Centre, which will include stalls and activities, and an opportunity to speak to health professionals to seek guidance and help. Attendance to the event for ALL Karima Weekday and Saturday Primary School students and a parent/guardian is compulsory.
There will be a number of short taster sessions running on the day, including exercise sessions, yoga, First Aid, interactive cookery sessions and a walk to the woods. Please use the following link to select the session you and your child would like to attend:

Please note only one session will be allocated, on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. You will be notified which session has been allocated via your child’s planner and/or via email. Responses must be received by Friday 11th January insha'Allah.
NHS Health Checks
If you are aged between 40-74, you may also book an NHS Health Check, which is designed to spot the early signs of stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, type 2 diabetes or dementia. Please use the same link as above to book. For those outside this age bracket, local pharmacists will be on hand to undertake similar checks.
We pray this event encourages us all to make positive changes in our daily lives insha’Allah.
