Youth Club

24 December 2021

Karima have both a boys and a girls youth club on a weekly basis. We have two halls at Castlefield Community Centre in which a number of different activities such as football, pool, table tennis and one-bounce take place.

Every week the volunteers have an inspirational quote of the week which is discussed with the attendees in a 5-minute break. We also run a quarterly late evening youth session called LOCKDOWN which includes a number of different activities, a guest speaker and food!

Girls Youth Club: every Tuesday from 5.15- 6.45pm

Boys Youth Club: every Wednesday from 6.15- 7.45pm

Karima Youth Club has started running workshops for the youngsters within the sessions to gain skills and understanding about a number of different things such as First Aid, IT, CV workshop and Fitness Training. We are always on the lookout for people in our community who are able to run a workshop on a particular skill they may have so please do get in touch if this applies to you!

Alongside the youth club we also run an outreach project where the team regularly go out to the main ‘hang out’ areas and engage with the youngsters who are there. This is specifically to build positive relationships with the community and talk to them about the services we can provide to help them.

Anyone between the ages of 11 and 18 is welcome to join.
