Karima Boys Youth Club takes place on Wednesdays between 6.15-7.45pm. We have two halls at Castlefield Community Centre in which a number of different activities such as football, pool, table tennis and one-bounce take place. Every week the volunteers have an inspirational quote of the week which is discussed with the attendees in a 5 minute break.
Karima Youth Club has started running workshops for the youngster within the sessions to gain skills and understanding about a number of different things such as First Aid, IT, CV workshop and Fitness Training. We are always on the lookout for people in our community who are able to run a workshop on a particular skill they may have so please do get in touch if this applies to you!
Alongside the workshops, the youngsters have also started raising money for people in need around the world. In our first project we raised money to make food packs which we delivered to the refugee camp in Calais. Over 200 food packs were made and it has motivated the youngsters to carry on raising money and work on another project.
Anyone between the ages of 13 and 18 is welcome to join.
If you are interested in helping us as a volunteer or have any other inquiries please do get in touch:
Tafsir is one of the areas covered at Saturday School. One of the classes has been looking into Surah Mulk and the students have worked independently to produce a PowerPoint which explains what each Ayah of this surah means.
