During the summer of 2015 Karima Foundation stepped in to save Castlefield's local library from closure.

Through support from Bucks County Council and Bucks Library Services this valuable resource was saved and converted to a Community Library. Managed by a project team of local volunteers, the library was relocated to the Community Centre and is now run by Karima Foundation in partnership with Bucks Library Services.

The library serves as hub for the benefit of our local community; and has seen an increase in usage and new members – it’s also the only library in Buckinghamshire open till 8pm!

As a community library we rely upon volunteers to staff the library and to support the running of activities. Please do get in touch if you would like to volunteer by emailing: .

At Castlefield Community Library we aspire to get everyone reading because 'reading is for life and not just for school'. We are sure we can help find the right book for you. So come in to get reading whether it's Harry Potter or the Secret Garden, or perhaps a bit of Walden and Ghazali.
